FAQ

FAQ

How long will the photoshoot take?

Our photoshoots can take anywhere between 1 and 3 hours.

We work with you to make sure you have a great experience. If you have young children and babies we understand they have a short attention span and we keep to the 1 hour timeframe to keep everyone happy.

If you are on your own or a couple and have no time pressures, then enjoy the experience, try on different outfits and setups and we can take up to 3 hours for your photoshoot.

What does the session fee cover?

The session fee includes the photographer's time and talent, the pre-shoot consultation which is best done by phone but can also be via text message or email, the photoshoot which usually takes 1 to 2 hours, where we create beautiful photos of you and your family and it also includes $125 credit towards prints.

Where are you based?

We are based on the northern end of the Central Coast in NSW and are within easy reach of Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. The sessions are done in the air-conditioned studio so you can be relaxed and comfortable and not have to worry about the weather.

We also have an option for an outdoor shoot and this will be weather dependent.

How many pictures will we receive?

At your viewing session, we show you anywhere between 30 and 100 photos for you to choose from. Choose one, choose none or choose them all. There is no pressure for you to purchase anything. Only purchase images that you absolutely love.

When will our photos be ready?

Depending on what your order consists of, expect your fine art products to take between 4 to 6 weeks to be ready for collection.

Are digital files included?

We want you to enjoy your photos and the best way to do that is to have physical prints that you can display throughout your home and look at all the time, not out of sight on a USB tucked away in a drawer somewhere.

We do provide the equivalent digital file of every print you purchase (that is equivalent size/resolution as the print purchased).

How should we dress for our family session?

Choosing outfits can be a daunting task but it doesn’t have to be. It's important to feel comfortable in what you are wearing.

Choose colours/tones that will complement each other and your home, avoiding logos, bright colours and clashing patterns. Bring a mix of dark and light, solid colours. (For example navy, browns, whites etc).

Bring a few changes of outfits including shoes (don’t forget the children) that way we have a few options. We won't necessarily use all the clothing but it helps with choosing different looks.

Do you offer hair and makeup?

We don't offer hair and makeup in the studio. We recommend you get your hair and makeup done professionally for the photoshoot to get the best results. Keep your makeup natural looking and get your hair done in your favourite style.

Avoid mineral makeup or contouring or anything that glows as the flash picks up on those.

Is there a minimum spend?

We want you to love your photos and only purchase the photos that you absolutely love. We don't have a minimum spend and there is no obligation to purchase any photos.
