"I started sewing because my little boy is so cute and also so tall! He was wearing a size bigger than his age and everything was so drab, stereotypical and just didn't suit his bright and fun personality. So I started making him clothes that were fun!"

Lisa is self-taught and was 37 years old when she first started sewing.
"If you want to try it don't doubt yourself. There is a wealth of knowledge online and start small and be as creative as you want!"

"My last project I was creating gorgeous vintage overalls. Created the legs first. I realised I accidentally made 2 left legs. Had a little laugh with my hubby and tried again. Another 2 left legs. Would you believe in total I ended up with 6 left legs!"

What sewing accessory can you not live without and why?
"My overlocker! My mum paid half with me and I've loved it ever since."

Lisa now sews as a business and creates custom made children's clothes. She also sews for her little boy.
