It was such a pleasure meeting Margaret as it has been meeting all the other sewists who have opened up their sewing space to me. Margaret and her husband were very welcoming and treated me to morning tea with beautiful freshly baked scones. After morning tea, it was time to visit Margaret's sewing space which was in a separate building to her house. Margaret has a spacious sewing room nicely organised with lots of nooks for her different sewing needs.
I mainly sew quilts, with a few pincushions and Christmas stockings thrown in.
In the past I have sewn dolls & doll clothes, clothes for my family including slacks and shirts for my husband and prom dresses for our girls, costumes, tutus, teddy bears. But as our family grew up, I sew more for pleasure and I like making quilts.
I do seem to work on more than one project at a time, so it sometimes takes me a while to complete a quilt and there is always a few works in progress or waiting to be started
